Undergraduate Program Overview
The Psychology Department offers a Bachelor's of Science (B.S.) undergraduate major that provides students with a breadth and depth in the study of human and animal behavior. Psychology course offerings will range from the study of single cells to the individual person, from small groups to communities. Students majoring in Psychology will take a minimum of 32 hours of work (approx. 10 classes). Emphasis is placed on statistical analysis, understanding of the biological processes of behavior, and acquisition of research techniques and methodologies.
Because of the wide-ranging applications of Psychology, you will find among our 1400 undergraduate students interests ranging from marketing, sales, advertising, public relations, human resources, law, criminal justice, education, social service, counseling, therapy, health, medical, biological, research, etc.

- 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm Psychology Commencement Ceremony - The ceremony recognizes December 2011, May 2012, and August 2012 graduates. It will include hooding candidates for the Ph.D. degree and calling all participating graduates to the platform in recognition of their academic achievement. Photographs will be taken of candidates as they receive their diploma covers and cross the stage. The ceremony lasts for 90 minutes.
