Research Description
I am broadly interested in communities/ groups that have been culturally and historiographically marginalized. My current research involves reconceptualizing the ethnic violence in North-east India in terms of homeland and displacement. I draw from participatory/collaborative and critical ethnographic frameworks to work with youth in conflict zones towards peace building and reconnecting with their communities through oral historical narratives of resistance.
