Biography
Louis Tay received his Ph.D. (2006-2011) in Industrial-Organizational psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research interests include subjective well-being and emotions. In addition, he actively works on conceptual and methodological advances in psychological measurement. He has conducted research with several large organizations, including the American Dental Association, the College Board, and the Gallup Organization. He has published in journals such as Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Psychological Science, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Counseling Psychology, Applied Psychological Measurement, Educational and Psychological Measurement, and Organizational Research Methods. His research has also received media coverage from the Wall Street Journal, APA Monitor, and Scientific American. He is currently working as a post-doctoral researcher under Ed Diener, and will take up an IO faculty position at Purdue University in Fall 2012.
